Name : Fossil Bird Wing Feather Age: Eocene Formation: Green River Formation Location: Kemmerer, Wyoming Size: Feather is 1.6 inches long! Is a very uncommon vertebrate fossil. This is a very fine fossil feather from the Eocene Fish Layers of Wyoming. Bird remains are quite rare in the fossil record – even individual feathers are highly uncommon, especially ones this large! This fossil feather is very easily seen and has very nice detail preserved. The distinct fossil has excellent natural color and contrast and is well showcased on the large plate of shale. This is a very impressive fossil feather from the Green River Formation.

ARTIFACT: This is a very rare large size circa late 1930s – early 1940s wing for Harley-Davidson Motorcycles. Incredibly enough, the legend that is Harley-Davidson started in the Midwest in 1903 in a wooden shed. The wing is in gilt brass. VINTAGE: Circa late 1930s or early 1940s. SIZE: Approximately 13/16″ in height and 3″ in width. CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Gilt brass, painted lettering. ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with tongue-style C catch. ITEM NOTES: This is from a motorcycle collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The wing shows some small areas of light wear and tarnish. GUARANTEE: As with all my items, this piece is guaranteed original.
