VERY RARE LARGE 2 KG! KORISTKA-MILANO EQUATOR F5.5 f=400 mm. Made by an italian company Koristka which was found in 1880. And based in Milano. They produced binoculars, microscops and some camera lenses. Most probably under Zeiss patents. This unique lens is more than 2 kg in weight and its coverage. Is about 10×12 inches (or about 24×30 cm). For such a coverage it is pretty fast. May be more for portrait pictures. F5.5 f=400 mm. Visual CONDITION IS very good for ITS AGE. Glass is very good for its age. No damages, no fungus, no separation, no obvious scratches. May be small cleaning marks. There is a thin layer of dust under the front element. I was unable to unscrew the front element to clean the dust. Also worth mentioning – lens technologies of that time was far from that of 20 century therefore there are many tiny bubbles in the glass. They of course do not influence the pictures made by the lens. So the lens is capable of producing fantastic top level pictures. Aperture blades work nice. There are 15 blades!
