ORIGINAL DIAL CANDLESTICK TELEPHONE & RARE LARGE COW BELL RINGER BOX CONSTRUCTION: SOLID BRASS, HARD RUBBER, STEEL & OAK TELEPHONE REPAINTED WITH AUTOMOBILE SPRAY LACQUER #2AB EARLY WESTERN ELECTRIC DIAL MAKE CLICKING SOUND WHEN ROTATED ORIGINAL HARD RUBBER RECEIVER POLISHED ON BUFFING MACHINE NEW CLOTH CORDS VERY LARGE COW BELLS PRODUCE DISTINCTIVE SOUND FELT BOTTOM COVER REPLACED ORIGINAL MOUTHPIECE HAS IN CENTER MODERN MODULAR LINE CORD READY TO PLUG INTO JACK FOUND IN MOST HOMES DIALS OUT, RINGS WHEN CALLED. OPERATES LIKE A MODERN TELEPHONE RESTORED IN MY SHOPS. OVER 50 YEARS EXPERIENCE RESTORING & COLLECTING TELEPHONES Designed and engineered by Bell and manufactured by their Western Electric Division this was their first dial desk telephone. There were very few dial candlesticks produced compared to the earlier non dial types. In the early days multiple line telephones were not yet developed. Locations requiring more than one line were supplied with several telephones. Some types: COW BELLS, LIBERTY BELLS, SLEIGH BELLS, “T” BELLS, WOOD BELLS, GLASS BELLS and several sizes of round bells. Large cow bells are very rare and collectable. They make a loud and very distinctive sound. These are solid nickel polished on professional machines to a mirror finish. A superb box of Rare and Striking Vintage Glass Christmas Ornaments made for Premier 9 bells with the same unusual green coloring (never had “any” others this color) 2 bells with more common blue and an egg or teardrop shape with indents measure: come in a vintage Premier box bottom Please check the photos for description… I usually note each ornament in my written descriptions. And I have 200 boxes of 12 ornaments to list in addition to many other singles and smaller lots… AND lots of other great Christmas treats from the past and it is Oct 21st!
