OGASAWARA SHUZO Signed Meiji Japanese Ginbari Cloisonne Vase. A very beautiful antique Meiji cloisonne vase nicely signed by one of the masters of Japanese cloisonne. These do not come around very often. Basse-Taille technique make the fish glisten… Koi vases one of the specialties of this artist. Nicely marked on base. Extremely rare and respected artist. This antique vase is in excellent original condition. No cracks typical of old ginbari pieces. No chips or dents, nothing. Vase displays very beautifully. Vases from this artist in this size are especially rare. Just an awesome vase. This vase has some girth is downright solid and heavy. Large size approximately about 8″ tall by 4 1/2″ wide. Please see photos as an integral part of this description. Sometimes the camera catches what I don’t.
