This superb piece is decorated in a blue & white pallet depicting a tree with blossoms and a multitude of peony flowers. To the centre in a sepia tone is a Kirin dancing among waves. To the verso are blue blossoms fowers. The Kirin a mythical hooved chimerical creature said to appear with the imminent arrival or passing of a sage or illustrious ruler. A superb shape and a great addition to any collection. Decorated in tones of blue, orangey red and gilded see photos. There appears to be a crack on the base, but this is not visible from the inside or when the vase is standing up! Small nibble to the inside edge of the neck see photos. It also has a lean to it, which has always been there and is a result of the manufacturing process. 13 Inches wide at the top approx. 24 Inches High approx. See photographs for overall condition.
