This is the famous Grateful Dead Poster that was banned by the Radio City Music execs because they thought it was bad for their image. What is so unusual about this is it’s very large size. It advertised a series of concerts In October 1980. The dates were 10/22 thru 10/30. It is 38×54 inches or 3ft. It was removed by a New York City Transit Authority employee who was instructed to destroy it. It came from the 47-50th Street-Rockefeller Center subway station. Fortunately it has survived almost 40 years. It is framed in a black metal frame and covered in plexiglass. The plexiglass has about a 6 inch crack in the upper center part of it. The poster is in very good condition. The item “Grateful Dead Poster Rare and very large” is in sale since Friday, October 6, 2017.
