This beautiful hand colored lithograph by CURRIER & IVES on offer appears to be extremely rare. If one looks up this original lithograph, one will not be able to find it available for sale or merely listed, that is, as far as we can see at this time. The only thing that pops up are modern reprints. The smaller 3/4 side view that measures closer to 8 1/2″ x 10 1/2″ can be found on he internet, but not this one – that measures. The smaller one can be found on the internet as an original, but not this larger direct side view we have on offer, at least so far. This Currier & Ives hand colored lithograph measures approx. 15 3/4″ x 11 3/4″ in size and is mounted on its original 1860’s period heavy cardstock set into its (AS FOUND) original period frame with its original wood backing board and nails. There is no cover-glass because it was cracked when found, so it was discarded. There is even the ORIGNAL “EYE HOOK” attached to the frame, for hanging. This is piece is untampered with and is totally original and of the period. There is a miniscule 2 long rubbing and scratch at the left side margin going into the blue ocean area of the print that occurred when the glass broke. THIS IS NOT A TEAR. If one wanted to, they could put t dab of blue watercolor in the tiny tiny spot that shows and touch it up, but really, it is not worth bothering with. SEE PHOTOS of left side panel near name PUBLISHED BY CURRIER & IVES. ” The plaster and black painted frame measures 18 1/4″ x 14 1/4 in size. In very good condition as shown. No stains to paper. There is super light foxing we can say is really no foxing if you want to look and see for yourself. HAND COLORED as shown. Any wear is consistent with age and use. The small hairline crack is on the inside where the handle is attached.

Outstanding high quality antique and large Majolica jardiniere, manufactured by Minton around 1856. Very rare beautiful pink blush color. White stoneware body, moulded in overlapping lotus leaves enamelled in pink. Wonderful white lotuses coming out in reliëf. I believe there is Minton symbol on the bottom for year 1856, impressed ” New Stone “. Diam top 28 cm.

Antique very rare 1800s spanish/mexican olive oil demijohn green. Beautiful piece of history. It has pontil marks and waves in the glass. The writting under Oliva has worn off. There also seemed to be some redish gold pain on the lettering that has also worn off. The top of the jug is a bit uneven and the handle is a little off center which is normal for demijohns. There are scratches in the paint in multiple places. Please see photos for condition. Id say this jug holds approximately 2 gallons. I dont want to damage it so I cant give an exact volume. It is approximately 17 inches tall and has a circumference of 36 inches in its widest part.

VERY RARE, VERY LARGE 16 1/4 Diameter Antique 18th Century Colonial New England PEWTER BOWL. Scans show it all….. Very rare, very early, VERY LARGE antique colonial pewter bowl. PARTICULARLY deep area for food, much deeper than a plate, and clearly made as a bowl. Measures 16 1/4″ in diameter and about 2 1/4″ deep. Could have served a variety of purposes, but much, much scarcer than a typical trencher. Extremely rare to find today compared to plates and other pieces. N be used as a functional item or as very nice AND VERY RARE antique or colonial period decorative item with a collection or on a mantle, in a dining room or kitchen, or on the wall, etc. Definitely an 18th century piece, probably c. 1760-70, and certainly REVOLUTIONARY WAR PERIOD. In nice condition overall with REALLY NICE AGED PATINA. Hows its age and use particularly nicely, and has a nice antique appearance. Originally came out of a local New England pewter collection and has been in my personal collection for many years. A great, special addition to any colonial pewter collection, for display, OR EVEN FOR USE. Would be a great, very unusual, and very timely platter to have to serve a Thanksgiving turkey on!!
