This is a very nice example of a fossilized dinosaur bone. It is a distinct Triceratops Femur Bone from the Cretaceous of Montana. This distinct specimen was acquired in the 1990’s directly from the digger. The large bone is the very end part of the femur (“knob”). The bone detail is very nice and smooth, and the back side shows the preservation of the inside of the bone (“marrow”). This piece is fully mineralized and turned to stone – it is extremely heavy! This is a very large, very displayable piece of a Triceratops femur, a very cool fossil dinosaur bone.
