Very very rare JULIETTE. From the “OPERA” series shown on page 76 of Josef Originals – A Second Look – by Jim & Kaye Whitaker. Produced in the mid 1970s and quickly discontinued as they were not popular subjects. Amazing attention to detail. The unusual matte finish is so realistic. Measures 9″ tall and 6″ wide. In overall excellent vintage condition – there are no chips, cracks, breaks, crazing or other damage. No other paint loss or wear to gold accents noted. Marked as shown in photo. Please ignore white spots on all photos caused by camera flash. This great vintage piece would make a wonderful addition to your Josef collection. Extremely Rare Vintage Coach Bonnie Cashin Mocha Marketing Tote, Style 9665, circa 1970’s, Made in NYC. Made in New York City. 1970’s Coach serial numbers are in the format XXX-XXXX and. Do not correspond to, or contain the style number. Thick, heavy leather open top marketing tote perfect for everyday, work or travel. 14 & 1/2″ long x 10′” high x 3 deep. Two full size zippered compartments to secure wallet, keys and other important items. Smaller open interior pockets, one with the early Coach creed and serial number. Central open section with plenty of room for books, magazines and your other personal belongings. Solid brass hardware and vintage (one sided) Coach hangtag. Double 22″ straps that fit comfortably over the shoulder (10″ strap drop). There are some scratches, some wear through on the piping at the corners (photo 9) and a few stains (photos 9 & 10) as would be expected for a bag this age. The Coach Creed is the original early worded creed that says This is a Coach bag. It is made out of completely natural glove tanned cowhide. The scars, scratches, veins and wrinkles are natural markings characteristic of full grain leathers. The Marketing Tote is vintage Bonnie Cashin design from Coach (circa 1970’s) but is no longer commercially available. A wonderful bag for the Coach vintage collector. See my other listings. 1970s ENAMEL LARGE HEAVY “COLMAN’S MUSTARD” SIGN by Garnier. In excellent condition, with excellent gloss and minimal enamel loss around the edges. The smaller sign is quite common, but this is the only large version I have ever seen. Made in 1970s by Garnier of London. Dimensions are approx 19.25″ x 14″ (49cm x 35.5cm). A heavy enamel sign and very collectable. With rich enamel, for display inside or outside. Garnier of London produced these signs between 1970 and around 1990, when the company sadly became defunct. Many of the signs were based on much earlier advertisements, or replicated signs they and others had made from the 1900s. Many more were made especially for companies such as Robertson’s, Sandemans and Fry’s as special giftware. They also supplied some of these signs to DoDo designs, of Tunbridge Wells. Details and illustrations of some of their 1970s signs can be found on page 71 of A History of Street Jewellery by Baglee and Morley, which is an excellent reference book for all enamel signs. Garnier is probably most noted for producing many of the iconic London Underground signs and London enamel street signs. Please contact me if you need any further information.
