It has so many wonderful details that really explain the price and craftsmanship behind the item. The grey jersey lining throughout the body is insanely soft and comfortable, as are the silky cupro lined sleeves which feature a beautiful pattern a well. The belt is emblazoned with Dior Homme branding, and the coat also features Hedi and Dior’s classic horizontal line details in various places throughout. Great condition overall – no stains or flaws. Very rare, 1931 2 part pin Brooch, Gold and Large Pearls. Grosse for DIOR

Very rare, 1931 2 part pin Brooch, Gold and Large Pearls. Stunning Brooch, made for Christian Dior by Henkel & Grosse in 1931. The brooch features 3 huge Baroque Pearls (Faux) surrounded by sprays of gilt leaves. The Brooch can be separated so that you use the upper half separately, a Sunburst effect of the giant pearl surrounded by the radiating out leaves. This has a long pin which can be used on a big coat or a hat or through a scarf. Lower part consists of a large pearl with long leaves projecting out, like a coconut tree effect, with the smallest pearl swinging on it’s loop at the bottom. This can be used with a separate pin as a much smaller brooch. Comes with original Christian Dior padded sleeve. Marks are Crown over GROSSE (c) 1931 on the back of one leaf. Henkel & Grosse (licenced manufacturers for Christian Dior, 1927 until 1980). Size is total 9 cms long when joined x 5 cms at widest point. Bottom is 6 x 3.5 cms when separated. Condition is very good for its age. The Pearls are not faded or scuffed only the pin at rear has slight bend and colour loss at one small area. Dont forget to ask if you have any questions &.
