Boswellia Serrata Large Tree Indian Salai Frankincense Very Rare

Boswellia Serrata Large Tree Indian Salai Frankincense Very Rare
Boswella Serrata, an extremely hard to find Frankincense tree from India and Pakistan. This tree is called “Salai” or “Indian Olibanum”. Boswellia Serrata resin contains the highest levels of Boswellic Acids, the chemical responsible for much of Boswellia’s therapeutic benefits. Boswellia Serrata is classified as a “humid subtropical” species. As such, this tree will remain long and spindly for the first few years as it first develops a large tuberous root system. Boswellia Serrata thrives when planted in the ground. I highly recommend grounding this tree in zones 10+. In lower zones, i recommend grounding the plant during the summer months, and digging it up in late fall. Boswellia Serrata is the most cold hardy of the Boswellia genus. Please pot it up in 50% organic matter and 50% gritty material (pumice or perlite).

Here are a PAIR of exceptionally rare, matching early, (11″ tall male and 10″ female), “Seminole Indian” doll s, circa 1930s, from the Everglades area in south Florida. His wonderfully bright and clean, traditional patchwork shirt is actually horizontally stitched with many individual pieces joined together in bands to form the intricate patterns (as can be seen on the underside in our attached photos). Included with him is his female mate also w earing her traditional, very c o l o r f u l cotton, two-piece costume and original white bead necklace with her hair wrapped in a black cloth snood. Her cylindrical body is made of cypress bark and palmetto fiber husk and her facial features are stitched with thread including an applied nose & one eyebrow. I also feel that it is from around the turn of the 20th century, maybe a little earlier. The bottom is still attached, but is coming apart, there are many missing stitches on the outside, and just a hand full on the inside, rim stitching is complete. The outside measures 57″ around at the widest, the top opening is 14″ and it stands 14 tall. Photo’s #2 though #6 show the outside with 5 figures. Even with the damage, and slight lean that it has caused by the bottom being damaged, this basket displays well. Please enlarge photo’s as they are part of the description.
