An extremely Rare and unusual Antique 18th Century Large Indian hand carved. Alabaster Marble Coiled Snake/Serpent. Carved in the finest detail the Snake is intricately entwined and mounted on an Alabaster Marble base. A large example which may have been used as a Desk or Paperweight. Or possibly emanates from an Indian Temple or Building? There is some damage/breakages gained over the passage of time which has been repaired. (please see photographs for condition). A most interesting and important piece of early Indian History which displays beautifully. And deserves Museum inclusion. Size: 8 1/4″ long x 5″ wide x 2 1/2 high.
