Very Rare 1930s Large 4 Dog Head Art Deco Top Crown Perfume/Scent Bottle. Very unusual large-size Art Deco style crown-top figural perfume bottle depicting a very sweet head of dog. Upright flattened circular iridescent ceramic (lusterware) bottle with a beautifully well-sculpted dog’s head with a distrustful look on front and a gilded metal crown top stopper with cork. Back incised with a symbol similar to Mercedes Benz and “Made in Japan”, also a red stamp on bottom shows a crescent moon with a star on top and S. Unknown maker, made in Japan , circa 1930’s. 4 inches (10.2 cm) height. Bottle without chips, cracks or repairs of any kind. There is a faint, not noticeable, crazing line affecting only the glazed coating to the right side (see picture). Worn enamel to snout (picture #1). Otherwise, excellent overall condition.
