Here is a beautiful and very rare French Fashion doll by Louis Doleac in an ultra-rare large size – 24 tall. She has two hairlines in her forehead with well done stabilization (see photos) but otherwise is beautiful. She has lovely blue eyes, pale coloring and slight smile. Her shoulderplate is marked L Depose 6 D and she has her original spring in her swivel head. She is on a kid and cloth body that I have secured with a layer of muslin over her torso. Fingers are frail but all present. She wears chemise, petticoat and drawers and a wonderfully styled chestnut brown mohair wig. There is no pate. She has old black stockings and oilcloth black button boots. I made her entire walking suit by hand with 100 silk and the jacket is fully lined. All the bias self trim was a labor of love! The buttons are 100+ years old. Design is from Sylvia MacNeil’s book (Justine) on French Fashion costumes. I also hand stitched her matching straw hat with fabric trim from the dress.
