For your consideration is a rare, original book signed by Walt Disney. The book was copyrighted in 1934 by Walt Disney. And was signed by Mr. Disney sometime in the mid-1930’s. Walt signed this book using his famous early cursive signature. Authentic memorabilia signed by Walt Disney during the 1930’s is scarce. On page one across from a map of the story is a large, dark, fountain pen ink signature and inscription by Walt Disney that reads. To Tommy Bell with my best wishes Walt Disney. The book itself measures 8.5 x 10 inches and the signature and inscription take up more than half of the page. He book’s story and illustrations were created by the Walt Disney Studio staff as noted on the title page. Walt’s signature has been authenticated by noted Walt Disney signature expert Phil Sears. The Phil Sears Certificate of Authenticity is included. The “Three Little Pigs” was an animated short film that was produced by Walt Disney and debuted in May of 1933. The film subsequently won an Academy Award and was followed by the sequel, The Big Bad Wolf. The sequel was released in April of 1934 and was followed by the printing of this book. Both titles were from the famous “Silly Symphony Series” of animated short films produced by Walt Disney Productions from 1929 to 1939. The covers show wear with loose binding and some paper loss. There is some tape residue in the book. N the signature page there is some writing in blue ink and some toning to part of the page; some pages contain small pencil marks. Signature and inscription are in very good condition, the pages are in fair. And the covers are in poor condition.
