This rare Victorian-era chalkware Antelope measures 9-1/2″ tall and 14-1/2″ across the base. It is in very good condition, with its original textured paint and glass eyes. There is a crack in the base, which may have been repaired; it is on the backside of the base, and it doesn’t appear to go all the way through, and is really only barely noticeable. Slight wear but no damage to the fragile horns and ears, or to its elegant freestanding foreleg. This is a very scarce form in chalkware, and its stylized appearance will add dimension to any estate or collection.
