LETEITE: Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region, Namibia. Dimensions: 3.3 x 2.8 x 0.8cm, miniature. Leiteite is a beautiful, but very rare zinc arsenate mineral from Tsumeb discovered and characterized in 1977. This is an exceptional specimen consisting of a large crystal section that is transparent to translucent with a lovely lavender color, an almost pearly luster and a greasy feel! It’s micaceous in character and even looks almost like pinkish Muscovite. This piece exhibits distinct and broad crystal faces on the front and back, but is truncated and unterminated at the top. Extremely good for the species and at a very fair price! Thank you for reviewing this listing and see my other items!
