Very rare large Agni Manitite, tectite’Dive Into Action’ 44g SN51279. Agni Manitite is an extremely rare tectite found on a remote island off Java, Indonesia. It’s name is derived from the sanskrit’agni mani’ which translates as’Pearl of the Divine Fire’. Most pieces of Agni Manitite are found underwater hence the’pearl’ in it’s name. They are very hard to find because of their underwater locations. They can be a dark opaque grey/black colour through to a translucent smoky brown/black colour. These formed when a meteorite passed near enough to our atmosphere that it’s surfaces became super heated and liquid and literally a multitude of droplets flew off of the main body as it flew past and landed on earth.
