RARE, BESWICK #2348 Ceramic Red Fox statue, measuring 12.5″ in height and a 7″ base. Graham Tongue, head modeler at Beswick, created this bone china lifelike fox as part of the Beswick Fireside Series, from 1970 – 1984. It is in very good used condition, and has a small repair on his foot (see photos #9,10,11). This is quite a substantial piece, weighing in at 3 1/2 pounds! Because of the high gloss on this piece, there is camera reflection that looks like chipped paint. There are no chips or crazing, just a small crack on the foot that has been lovingly repaired. They originally produced tablewares and ornaments such as Staffordshire cats and dogs. In 1934 the introduction of high fired bone china meant they could produce high quality figurines. The pottery was chiefly known for producing high quality porcelain figures such as farm animals and Beatrix Potter characters and have become highly sought after in the collectibles market.

Wonderful vintage and rare figure made by Josef Originals. She is impressive in her size – 9 tall. Great handpainting – she has the most seductive black eyes, lashes and red heart-shaped mouth. Wearing a soft green gown, with gold lacey details she carries a bouquet of yellow roses with a long golden bow that cascades down the front of her dress. Note her upswept golden hair and elegantly extended left hand. Virtually perfect condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, other damage or repairs noted. All her vulnerable parts have survived completely intact. No other paint loss or wear to gold accents noted. Marked as shown in photo, with impressed Josef Originals. Please ignore white spots on all photos caused by camera flash. This great vintage piece would make a wonderful addition to your Josef collection or a most treasured gift for someone special. ONE OF THE Loveliest OF THE Retired. Botanical Garden FLOWERS PEONY WAS. Introduced 1990 – Withdrawn 2000. Included is the original book that came with. All of the Anniversary items, the original boxes. Tags are still on both pieces. The Jardiniere was made 02/24/1997. The Base was made 04/23/1997. This is from my Personal Portmeirion collection. Used the PLANTER , just displayed in my China Cabinet. Decorated with Large colorful Peonies. Colors are bright and vibrant. Pre-2000 – Older Mark – Made in England. Designed by Susan Williams-Ellis. Jardiniere SIZE – 9-1/2 Wide at the top. 6-1/2 Wide at the bottom. Pedestal Base – 12 High. 8-1/4 Wide at the top. 8-1/2 Wide at the bottom. CONDITION – Excellent – like new condition.
