RARE 1/6 PLATE TINTYPE- SMILING GIRL WITH CHINA DOLL IN ORNATE DOLL CARRIAGE. Rarely do you ever find a large five by seven inch tintype of a child holding a very rare doll like this young girl. I believe the doll is either a sought after French, BRU or Jumeau. The girl’s face matches her doll in many ways, wouldn’t you agree? I love the large bow in her hair and how they wore nearly matching. Costumes on this fine day. Her costume includes a stunning white leather fringe dress and white leather shoes, headband and black wig. Her face is a lovely darker bisque with delicate features. She is 24 inches tall.
