Very Vintage – Very Rare. This listing is for a very vintage Gucci mens travel bag. The bag is made of pigskin leather. It measures 18″ in length, by 11″ deep, by 9tall. It has brass fittings, a locking clasp on the top, and one on each side. There is a key that fits all three locks. It’s not easy to see, but there is a monogram on top with the letters RB. It’s interesting to note that the Gucci name/logo aren’t prominently displayed as is done on later Gucci items. I think Gucci was more conservative and not as “in your face” as was the case in their later designs. The lining on the inside of the bag is unmistakingly Gucci (please see photo). The bag is in good to very good condition with a few minor scuffs, and a leather skin nick in one of the top corners (see photo). The top sags a bit as can be seen in the photos, but it is still a very classy looking bag. You probably will not see another one like this, as it is a very rare piece with very few made.
