Whether used as a serving piece or a display piece it will not go unnoticed! STUNNING hand forged exquisite metal work by Jan Barboglio. This piece is a statement maker and is looks much larger than it’s dimensions, as stated below. This piece is in excellent used condition. None of the items mentioned below affect the use of this piece and cannot be seen unless looking for them. It’s important to mention them when discussing a piece as fine as this one by Jan Barboglio. It has some area’s that lack patina due to light dusting over the years, as shown in the photos. This is normal age related wear. The photos show some spots which is dust on the higher reaches of the petals. There is what looks like a chalk line on the bottom of the piece. The ceramic bowl is “Made in Portugal by Fapor” and has never held any food or liquids. There is no crazing or visible scratches. The photos shows markings on the bottom, outside ring of the bowl where it sits in the iron base. Please note in pictures that the bowl was soldered at a slight angle. It is not obvious in most of the pictures and is noticeable only at certain angles. This is a very rare piece and this is the nature of handmade products. The height of the iron piece is 10-1/2″ and 11″ with the bowl in place. Iron bowl is just over 13-1/4 in diameter. Ceramic bowl is 15-1/2 in diameter. The base of the piece is 7 square.
