Stunning Antique VERY RARE Large Raspberry Peach-flow Chicago Worlds Fair 1893 Crimped Rose Bowl. Hand blown and hand painted. Darker raspberry at the top of the bowl and get slightly light as it goes down to the bottom. The inside of the bowl is white. On one side of the bowl depicts “THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING”. WORLD’S FAIR CHICAGO 1893. I can not tell if the picture is hand painted or a transferware. I don’t see small tiny dots, but I just don’t know. AUSTRIA (on the bottom). Rose bowls were produced to hold assorted rose petals for a visual and fragrant decorative accent- It was used like potpourri today, but can be used as a vase also for a fragrant bouquet.
