Cambo Twin lens reflex camera 9x12cm /4×5. The TWR 54 is a view camera for 4×5-inch film. It was made in 1972 by the Dutch company Cambo from the city of Kampen which is still a exciting company. Cambo describe the camera as a twin-lens-reflex , but it has no internal mirror. The camera comprises two parallel bellows, one carrying the viewing or focusing lens and the other the taking lens. A ground-glass screen is fitted to the rear of one bellows, and the dark-slide holder to the other. The ground-glass can be swapped for a reflex viewer, allowing the image to be viewed in a vertical eyepiece. This can be rotated on the camera for pictures in vertical orientation. The camera was offered with 150,210or 270mm lenses. The body of the camera is mostly of a light Aluminum alloy and weights 3 kg. With each lens there was special constructed parallax curve plate. You can use a plate, film back or polaroid back (Type 545)on the camera. It was used as a Portrait, passport or mugshot camera. It was made in very small numbers and is a very rare camera to find and very unique in his kind. Camera body with ground glass. The focusing is very good and smooth. Both bellows are very fine condition. The bayonets are fine as is the parallax movement. Special swing mounting bracket. Schneider-Kreuznach Tele-Arton 270mm F5.5 in a special bayonet mount for this camera. Clean lens no fungus and clean diaphragm , front element has some cleaning marks. Scheider-Kreuznach Tele-Arton 270mm F5.5 in a Copal Press-No. With speeds from B, 1 to 1/125 secs. Schutter works perfect and the diaphragm blades are clean no oil. The glass is clean no marks no fungus. Parallax curve plate for use with the 270mm lenses. Extra plates 2 pieces 4×5. Extra pressure plate for the film holders. For 3 takes on 9x21cm film plate.
